David died March 13, 1992, when the snowmobile he was riding fell through the ice on Lake Iliamna. He was an avid outdoorsman. Among the many friends and relatives he left behind, David was survived by Karen Malcolm. They were awaiting the birth of their son, Dylan David, at the time of David's death.

I remember playing in the band with David. We were both drummers..yeah!! I was sorry to hear of the accident.
